Yash, you haven't mentioned if this is about All India Counselling or State Counselling. If this is regarding All India Counselling, then you have an option of Free Exit. This is an option for Candidates who have been allotted a seat in Round 1. Such Candidates if they are not satisfied with the College that has been allotted to them, needn't report to the College and they will not be penalised for the same. But if they want to participate in Round 2, they have to fill in fresh choices. So if you have not reported to the College in Round 1 and also have not filled the options in Round 2, your security deposit will be refunded. The amount will be refunded after all the rounds of Counselling are over. MCC will upload the list of Candidates who are eligible for a refund and the amount will be transferred back to the account the payment was made from. The process is pretty much similar with State Counselling as well. We see that you belong to UP and even UP has released its 2nd allottment list. If you have not reported to the College and opted for the correct option to exit the Counselling, you will be eligible for a refund. Or else unfortunately, you might not be eligible for a refund.
