The minimum age to apply for UPSC Civil Service Examination is 21 years as of August 1st in the year of application. And the upper age limit as of August 1st in the year of application is 32 years. Your age as on August 1, 2025 will be 32 years 7 months 0 days which is above 32 years so you are not eligible to apply for UPSC CSE 2025. However, relaxation on upper age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories which is as follows

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Defence Services Personnel, disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof: 3 years
• ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on 1st August in the year of application and have been released: 5 years
• ECOs/SSCOs: 5 years
• (PwBD): 10 years

In case you belong to any of the above mentioned categories you may appear for UPSC CSE 2025. You need to provide sufficient proof to claim age relaxation.
