The minimum limit for age is 19 years of age. Maximum age for CDS  varies from academy to academy.

For IMA(Indian Military Academy)
Age limit is  24 years and only unmarried males can apply for it.

For INA ( Indian Naval Academy)

Age limit is 23 years and only unmarried males are allowed.


For Air Force Academy

Age limit is 23 years and both married and unmarried male candidates can apply.
The age here varies for married person.

For OTA ( Officers training academy)

Under SSC men it is 25 years

Under SSC women , it is 25 years as well.

As you was born in 1996 , your current age is
2020- 1996= 24

You can apply for CDS exam but keep in mind the various age limit for different academies as described above.

Hope you're doing well.

According to the rules, For the CDS II examination, the candidate must be born between July 1994 to July 1999. The educational qualifications required for, candidates interested in the Indian Military and the Air Force is a degree (10+2) from any recognized university. For the Indian Navy, an engineering degree from a recognizes university is sought.  But still I suggest you to read Official notifications.
