KCET Eligibility Criteria 2019 related to Mother Tongue of Candidates
Candidates whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu or Kodava must have resided and studied for a duration of 7 years between 1st and 12th standards in disputed Kannada speaking area of South Sholapur or Akkalkot or Jath or Gadhinglaj Taluks of Maharashtra State or Kasargod or Hosadurga Taluks of Kerala State. Such candidates will have to undergo and clear the Kannada Language test.
Candidates who have studied for complete 10 academic years in the Kannada language from 1st to the 10th standard outside Karnataka need not appear for the Kannada Language Test conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Such candidates must have studied and passed the qualifying exam from any recognized educational institution.

KCET Exam Eligibility 201 9 – Karnataka Common Entrance Test Eligibility
Candidates must be the citizen of India.
- Aspirants must have to complete their studies in Karnataka Government or Recognized institutions for a minimum period of seven years from class i to class xii.
- At least one of the parent of the aspiring candidate must have to complete their studies in Karnataka state for a minimum period of seven years.
- Applicants mother tongue should be Kannada, Tulu, Kodava and should be the resident of Kannada speaking area in India.
- Hence, candidates who worked as Ward of defence personnel for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the two years period of H.S are also eligible.

According to KCET criteria, if you have any pernanent residence in Karnataka or you have studied oin Karnatak or your parents have worked there for a minimum of 5 years, you can write KCET and are eligibke for the domicile.
