Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issuedthe NDA 1 2022 eligibility criteria for the aspirants. The UPSC has mentioned the NDA eligibility criteria in the official NDA 1 notification 2022. UPSC NDA eligibility criteria 2022 is determined based on multiple factors like age, educational qualification, physical standard, nationality.

Thus the eligibility criteria for writing NDA exam is given as follows :

Eligibility criteria - Nationality :

  1. A subject of Nepal or

  2. A subject of Bhutan or

  3. People of Indian origin migrated from Zaire, Ethiopia, East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Burma, Pakistan, Zambia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam to settle in India or

  4. Tibetan refugees came to India, to settle in India before January 1, 1962.

Eligibility Criteria - Age :

The actual age limit to apply for NDA exam(1) is that a candidate should be between 16.5 years to 19.5 years. That is the candidates must born between 2 July, 2003 to 1 July, 2006 to be eligible writing this exam.

Whereas for the NDA(2) exam the age limit criteria is not notified yet.

Looking at this, you would not be able to write this exam this year as according to your date of birth you are more than 19.5 years.

According to the current eligibility criteria set up by UPSC, the body which conducts the NDA examination a candidate needs to be aged between 16.5 to 19.5 years in order to write the examination. So talking about NDA 2 2022 exam, the candidates born between January 02, 2004, and January 01, 2007, are eligible for the same.

Following this you would not be eligible for NDA examination 2 of this year.
