No one cannot give JEE Mains /JEE Advanced until and unless he/she is in class 12.
If you have passing year of class 12 in 2023 then you can give JEE Mains as well as JEE Advanced in 2023.

A candidate who is appearing in 10+2 or its equivalent examination or who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board is eligible to appear for JEE Main. You cannot appear for JEE Main 2022 as you will be appearing in class 11th examination in the year 2022. You will be eligible to appear for JEE main 2023 as you will appear in 10+2 examination in the year 2023.

JEE Mains can be given by the candidates who are either appearing for the class 12 or have completed their class 12. If in 2022, while the application forms are being released, if you are appearing in class 12 which means you are a student of class 12 then certainly you can apply for JEE Mains 2022.
