If this is you 1st attempt of jee mains or 2nd attempt then you can also appear for jee mains next year.As per the eligibility criteria of jee mains,a student can appear for jee mains 3 times from the year in which he/she gave class 12th board exams and in the next two successive years while for jee advanced a student can appear for jee advanced 2 times i.e in the year which he/she gave class 12th board exams and in the next successive year.

If you are going to appear 1st time in jee mains this year then in the next year you can give both jee mains and advanced.
