I will be giving boards in March 2020 (commerce with maths), and planning to go for a crash course for management colleges (IPMAT, DUJAT etc.). what if I don't get selected from these entrance exams? will I have to drop a whole year and prepare again?
Unfortunately you will have to drop because these are entrance exams are take place only once in a year and if you fail to crack then you will be in trouble if you don't have any plan for backup.
Now, there are few thing that you can do primarily to avoid a waste of 1 year.
If you are really interested in management then there are lots of college that offer BBA and BMS course where you can enroll.
If not then, try to score good marks in boards and get admission in Delhi University and do B.Com and the you can prepare for CAT and get admission in top IIMs.
You must not waste one year just for admission in a UG course and too after commerce.
So, be ready with plan B.
Now, the best plan is to study as much as hard as you can and crack the entrance exam.
This is the best option that you can actually do.
Good Luck.
Hello,
Mostly students give more than 2 entrance exams to keep a backup plan ready and save a year because these entrance exams happens for only once a year. You can also do the same thing as it will save your one year and you can apply for the test next year or in the future while studying as well.
