NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned your home state so considering it as West Bengal according to your profile and category as general.
As we go through previous year's cut-off trends then it shows that in 2019 the lowest cut-off marks was 518 for COOCHBEHAR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL under 85% state quota for General category and in 2020 the cut-offs have been increased with a variation of 25-30 marks at state level institutions so in NEET 2021 if a candidate secures at least 550 marks in NEET 2021 then he/she may secure a seat in GMC of West Bengal and it's quite difficult to predict for 2022 because it will be decided on the basis of cut-offs of this session 2021 but still one should try to maintain his/her score around 560-580 in NEET 2022 for getting GMC in West Bengal under state quota.
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Hi
You have not mentioned the category you belong to so I am assuming you from general category
Predicting the marks required to get a seat in a government medical college is quite difficult , moreover Neet 2021 is still to be conducted so it is quite early to predict cutoff for Neet 2022 but when we go through previous year trends then
We don't have Neet 2020 data for West Bengal yet but
In neet 2019 , 518 marks for general category was the cut off marks/ lowest marks that got a seat in a government medical college under west Bengal state quota and it was for COOCHBEHAR GOVT MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL
You can check the same at
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-west-bengal
But yes,
cut off marks / rank for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the neet examination, kind of marks obtained by students in neet , toughness level of the neet examination, number of seats available etc.
So , you should try to get at least around 600 marks in neet 2022 Examination to be on the safer side for getting a Government Medical College.
Now , to score well in your neet 2022 examination, focus on preparation, go through the chapters , practise questions and then revise them, go through mock test papers once you are done with complete syllabus.
If you have any other doubt then you can always reach us to clear them :) we are always available to help you out and guide you
Thank you
