I will get 103marks in pcm group. Which college i will get
Hello Yash,
Before coming to the colleges, I should tell you the criteria for taking engineering after class 12. If we talk about the national level colleges, they ask for a minimum of 75% in PCM , if not so it will really get hard to get admissions in such colleges on a direct basis, in such a condition only management quota would be able to help you.
The PCM marks criteria for admission in IITs/IIITs and colleges included in JEE is as follows:
- Candidates need to have secured a minimum 75% marks in class XII or equivalent exam or be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board.
- For SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria are to secure 65% marks in class XII or equivalent exam.
Now let's come to the state based colleges, most of these colleges ask for different percentage in PCM and the rest of the conditions are mostly the same as the National level colleges.
For example:-
- The candidate appearing for UPSEE has to get minimum of 45% in PCM to get admission in AKTU based colleges. This reduces to 40% in reserved categories.
- The candidate has to score a minimum of 45% in class 12 in PCM and for reserved categories this reduces to 40% for COMEDK .
- The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with minimum 45% ( 40% in case of reserved category candidates) for HPCET (Himachal Pradesh).
- The candidate must have passed HSC or equivalent exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics and any one Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects for Maharashtra.
Let's come to the hardest part, competitive exams, you can get admissions in such colleges through exams like JEE, UPSEE, COMEDK, WBJEE MH CET, HP CET some of them are mentioned above and many more but for that to you have to score the minimum requirements in PCM .
It's really hard to get admissions without the minimum marks but still, there is hope if you really wish to pursue engineering you can do it through the private universities.
