I wish to Know About "Bio Medical Engineering "
Hi Uma
Biomedical engineering is related to Engineering principles to the fields of biology and Healthcare.
Biomedical engineers design and develop medical systems, devices and equipments. They combine Engineering principles with medical and biological sciences to design computer systems , softwares etc used in healthcare.
If you want to pursue your career in biomedical engineering then you should do Bachelor of Engineering ( B.E) in Biomedical Engineering offered at selected institutes. Or,
You can do BE in any of the Engineering branches and go for Postgraduate course in Medical technology. You can opt for any conventional branches of Engineering and after that you can go for Postgraduate courses in Biomedical Engineering.
You need to pass in class 12 in Science stream with PCM and biology.
Biomedical engineering requires professional and well trained individuals in the field of engineering and medical sciences.
You can choose following Career opportunities:
- Teaching
- hospitals - use of medical equipment and and supervising it's performance and maintenance.
- Technical Advisors
- Industry
- Agricultural/ chemical engineer
- Biochemists and Biophysics
- physicians and surgeons
All The Best!!
Biomedical engineering, also referred to as bioengineering, biomedical or BME, is a multidisciplinary STEM field that combines biology and engineering, applying engineering principles and materials to medicine and healthcare. The increasing demand for biomedical engineers is linked to society general towards everyday utilisation of machinery and technology in all aspects of life.
Hope you understand,
Thank you
Biomedical engineering is the application of the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering to biology and medicine. This is evident throughout healthcare, from diagnosis and analysis to treatment and recovery, and has entered the public conscience though the proliferation of implantable medical devices, such as pacemakers and artificial hips, to more futuristic technologies such as stem cell engineering and the 3-D printing of biological organs.
Biomedical engineeringfocuses on the advances that improve human health and health care at all levels.
Hope you get it...
