India conducts several entrance examinations for engineering every year, JEE Main and JEE Advanced, intended to lead students into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Here is the critical information about each of the exams below:
JEE Mains: This test is conducted by the NTA in two sessions in January and April. The forms are released in December for both of the sessions. The test is computer-based. Class 12 students have a minimum 75% marks in aggregate for getting admission in IITs/ NITs.
JEE Advance: This is one test conducted for IIT admissions, usually in the month of May or June. After declaration of JEE Main, application forms are available. It is a computer-based test.
BITSAT: Conducted by BITS Pilani, applications open in January. The online exam is conducted in May. Eligibility needed is 75% in PCM in Class 12.
