I would be passing out from my college by may 2020 . If I appear for GATE 2021 and not for GATE 2020 and then use the results of GATE 2021 while being recruited by PSUs then will it be considered a year gap ?
Most of the PSUs give a lot of weight-age to GATE score. Therefore, try to score good in GATE and don’t think about anything else. They will surely ask you about the gap, so prepare a valid and an authentic reason for the same. Do not criticize the College for placements nor the company where you worked/not joined. This will be the first question in every interview especially ESE interview, but there is no need to worry at all.
Feel free to ask me in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
hope you find it helpful
Good Luck!
Candidates who have passed or those who are in final years of their graduation can apply for GATE..In GATE EXAMINATION, gap period isn't matter Soo much..You may face question or not,but this won't affect your interview Soo much as Soo many students appear IN GATE EXAMINATION after their B.Tech completion..
Ask if any query..
GOOD LUCK!
