Hello,

In order to apply to most scholarships, you have to apply through the university application form. There is usually an option/question regarding your financial requirements and whether you want to be considered for any university-wide scholarships. Depend upon merit, students who are awarded these scholarships are notified at the time that the letter of acceptance is sent by the university.

Apart from this, financial aid is also provided by many universities. In order to apply for financial aid, you must mention so in the online application form AND in your statement of purpose if possible.

Lastly, external scholarships awarded by various organizations/governments are available depending upon the program of study and/or university. You can look up the specific scholarships that you can apply to depending upon what and where you plan to study. These scholarships require a separate application and sometimes also require essays or other supplementary application documents.

Hello,

In order to do a bachelors program in aeronautical engineering, there are a number of universities you can apply to but most countries do not offer the course in English for free and instead, you can fund your education through various scholarships. On the other hand, if you are proficient in certain other languages like French and/or German you can apply for undergraduate programs in government universities which are taught in these languages of instruction. For example, a bachelor's in aeronautical engineering at a government university in Germany would be free of cost but only students who are proficient in German are eligible as the course will be taught in the German language of instruction.

Therefore, the best option would be to select top universities which also offer scholarships in order to fund your education. The top universities in the world for mechanical and aeronautical engineering are:

  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA)
  • Stanford University (USA)
  • University of Cambridge (UK)
  • Harvard University (USA)
  • University of California, Berkeley (USA)
  • University of Michigan (USA)
  • University of Oxford (UK)
  • Imperial College London (UK)
  • University of Tokyo (Japan)
  • Georgia Institute of Technology (USA)
