I would like to know about the IISER entrance exam?

Admission in IISER is done through three channels which are as follows-
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) – Candidates areoffered admission on the basis of valid KVPY fellowship.
State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) channel – Candidates are given admission after they appear in an aptitude test and their score in the same.
Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (JEE) channel – Candidates can also get admisison in IISER on the basis of your JEE Advanced 2019 scores for direct admission.
Here are the main details about the entrance of IISER 2019-
Application Fee- The Non-refundable application fee for IISER 2019 is Rs. 2000. The fee for SC/ST/Kashmiri Migrants/Physically Handicapped candidates is Rs 1000.
Details of IISER Aptitude Test for candidates opting for SCB channel-
- The Mode of Exam is Computer Based Online Test .The Duration of the test is 3 hours. The total marks for the same are 180 marks. It includes multiple choice questions.
- The Subjects for the test nclude four subjects which has equal weightage- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
- Marking Scheme - 3 marks are awarded for each correct response. There is also negative marking. 1 mark will be deducted for wrong attempt.
Important date-
- The IISER Aptitude Test 2019 is scheduled to be conducted in the Fourth week of June 2019
- For admission through the SCB Channel, the Application process is scheduled to begin in the Fourth week of May 2019. The Last date to submit application forms will be in the Second week of June 2019.
- If you seek admission from the JEE Channel , the Application process will begin in the Second week of June 2019. The last date is scheduled to be in the Third week of June 2019.
- For admission through KVPY Channel the Application will start in the Fourth week of May 2019 and the process will end in the Second week of June 2019
