its important for to you make a well informed decision . The way I see it companies look for your talent and your intelligence . intelligence is the ability to solve problem . yours marks and degree got nothing to do with it . note down your goals your strengths your weaknesses and opportunities . work toward them . Job opportunities in pharmaceutical might be a good option , but please note just Btech might limit your option if possible try to go for M.tech , it will improve your advantages . try to connect with those who are already deep into profession , into field of biotech so they can guide you , but use your intellect when making decision because others may see you as competition too .

Biotechnology is a developing field. There is scope in both private as well as public sector. It offers promising career.
You can go for research in this field it has very good scope in the future.
Average salary package in this field for freshers is 2.4 to 5 lakhs per annum.
