i would like to study in political science so i am in need in sylabus of political science.
Syllabus of political science in DU is different from some other university like bhu.and brief syllabus is as folliwing 1.1 Paper I- Understanding Political Theory 1.2 Paper II- Constitutional Government and Democracy in India 2.1 Paper III – Political Theory-Concepts and Debates 2.2 Paper IV- Political Process in India 3.1 Paper V- Introduction to Comparative Government and Politics 3.2 Paper VI –Perspectives on Public Administration 3.3 Paper VII- Perspectives on International Relations and World History 4.1 Paper VIII- Political Processes and Institutions in Comparative Perspective 4.2 Paper IX- Public Policy and Administration in India 4.3 Paper X- Global Politics 5.1 Paper XI- Classical Political Philosophy 5.2 Paper XII- Indian Political Thought-I 6.1 6.2 Paper XIII- Modern Political Philosophy Paper XIV- Indian Political Thought-II (1.1,1.2 for 1st semester 2.1 ,2.2. for 2nd semester and so on).Now answer of your 2nd parts ,I would say yes, political science is really very interesting subject if you have some habits prior to admission or if you can learn these habit as soon as possible as you entered in college, like asking questions to teachers even if it is controversial in contemporary political context. If you are able to reply what the teacher ask to class without any hesitation and fear.If you are good in writing and cramming then you would get and extra benefit ,ultimately subject will more interesting for you. So for the scope of career, it is bitter truth that it has limited career options than other science subject. Still one can appear in civil service taking political science as a optional .you can do higher study for starting career as teacher or professor .Doing law after graduation is considered good . One can join as legal advisor for politician and other farm.joining print or television media would be good option. Also one can join NGOs.There is good scope in policy making .
