LLB is a bachelor’s degree in law and one should finish their graduation before join this course. LLB course offered will be supervised by the Bar Council of India(BCI).It is a 3 Year course and follows a semester-based system. Aspirants will be provided with a Law degree only if they clear all 6 semesters. The 3 year duration is when you join after graduation (BA/BSc/B.Com or any valid graduation) and the 5 year duration is when you directly join after 12th, where you will do graduation+ LLB.
In order to get admission into a reputed law college one must write the most common entrance CLAT exam.Based on the score the college allotment will happen through counselling. However,some universities may have their own entrance test(for example DU LLB entrance) and some will admit purely based on 12th merit. You can be from any stream .
The fee varies from college to college based on the infrastructure, prestige, placements and other factors. The fee majorly varies with private and government institutions. On an average fee for Law will be somewhere between 22,000 – 2 Lakhs Per Annum.
