Hello Student,
A score of 178 in BITSAT is a low of a score. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately you might not be able to get a seat in reputed university such as BITS.
Since you have not mentioned any reservation, the chances of you getting into some some of these universities will be a bit more if you have some reservation. Computer Science Engineering is a course that is very much in demand and much sought after course and the chances are very low. There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities.
Some other good universities would be:
1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai
2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur
3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh
4. Delhi University
5. Shiv Nadar University
6. VIT, Vellore
7. Manipal Institute of Technology

Dear candidate,
As you have not mentioned any category so I am assuming it to be a general category. With your score there are very tough chances .You might not get CSE.However, there are other courses also like b.pharma in which you may get a seat but there is still low possibility. I prefer you go for counselling to get a clear picture. Moreover, cutoffs varies every year depending upon ranks, number of students appeared in exam, seat availability ,difficulty level of exam and category. Previous years the cutoff for CSE was around 380 for most PILANI institutes and for other branches also you need at least a score of 200.
You can predict your college if you want by the below link.
