Jan, Feb, mid March Revision and Test series Phase
Revise everything that u have studied between Aug and Dec . Take up Test series for Both GS and Optional. Aim is always to score 40% and above in the Tests.
Consolidate the current affairs you have studied and study whatever portions u have left in your GS mains syllabus during the last phase.
Mid March, April , May, June Prelims Phase
Complete concentration on Prelims . List of books for the subjects is given above. Since you have already read them twice, now its going to be really easy for you to revise them and u will gain confidence day by day. In parallel Prepare for the CSAT Paper.
Take up a proper Test series for Prelims and aim is to score above 50% in all tests.
Now you are ready to crack your Prelims
July, Aug, Sep, Oct Pressure cooker phase
Prepare for Ethics and integrity paper. This has to be done now and not before, mainly because this paper requires immense analytical skills. (By hearting some terms and definitions from some ethics dictionaries will not help here, do not fall into the trap). After covering all mains papers plus writing one full mains test series and after studying for prelims, i expect u to have the fodder to answer the ethics questions effectively.
Finish your optional and GS mains syllabus by subscribing to a TEST series.
In the Last 20 days, Consolidate all the current affairs that u have studied and revise your optional and the static portion of GS syllabus.
Now you are ready to write the Mains Exam
This strategy though appears to be very simple at the outset is also the hardest to implement. Because simplest things are the toughest in life. If you add up your pile of books and materials other than the once mentioned above, u will be writing your mains . Hopefully you got the point. Do not be misled by anyone that UPSC is a complex exam. (Aka toughest)
I hope this helps
