Hope I helped you.All the best for future endeavour!!
Hello Garima,
Welingkar Mumbai and ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad are both tier 2 B Schools and are a good choice if you do not crack the top 20 B-Schools in India.
When you choose a B School/University, I strongly recommend opting for its primary campus as it generally offers better placements. learning experience, better infrastructure and is often ranked better.
Both IBS Hyderabad and Welingkar Mumbai are the primary campuses of the respective B Schools.
- IBS Hyderabad has a huge batch size compared to Welingkar Mumbai so the focus on each student and faculty-wise, Welingkar would be a better option.
- The campus/infrastructure of Welingkar is smaller than IBS Hyderabad. Both these B-Schools, however, have a strong alumni network.
- Welingkar Mumbai offers PGDM which is approved by AICTE - It is a diploma. While IBS Hyderabad offers MBA approved by UGC - It is a Post Graduation Degree. If you are planning to study further, a PG degree is sure to help.
- IBS Hyderabad is ranked better though compared to Welingkar Mumbai when you have a look at the top B Schools in India.
At Welingkar, I think its marketing and finance courses are not so good, whereas IBS is known for Finance, so if you are planning to go for finance then IBS should be your choice.
You have all the info here and you need to decide and make a choice on your own.
Good luck!
