The Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO is one of the renowned Space Organisations of the world. Every year, ISRO is creating new milestones in the field of Space Application, Space Science and Technology. ISRO provides the chance to engineering graduates to contribute to the progress of the country in terms of Space Programs. The organization has recently released the ISRO Recruitment notification for the recruitment of Scientist/Engineer in the organization.
The eligibility criteria for the post of Scientist/Engineer at ISRO are as under:
1. Educational Qualification
a. Applicants should have qualified in B.E/B.Tech. or an equivalent qualifying degree in First class with a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA of 6.84 on a scale of 10.
b. Applicants who are currently in their final year of qualifying degree are also eligible to apply, provided they provide their final degree by 31st July 2019 and secure a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 on a scale of 10.
c. Applicants who have passed M.E/M.Tech. with B.Tech. are eligible to apply provided their B.Tech. score meets the eligibility specified above.
d. AMIE applicants will be regulated as per MHRD order No. 11-15-2011-AR (TS.II) dated 6th December 2012 . Candidates registered before 31st May 2013 may be considered provided they should have 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in Section ‘B’ alone.
e. Applicants with part-time B.E/B.Tech. degree are also eligible to apply for this recruitment. However, applicants who have completed their B.E or B.Tech. through correspondence course are not eligible to apply for the exam.
f. Applicants who have studied integrated course of B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech. are eligible to apply for the exam provided they produce their graduation certificate for B.E/B.Tech separately and have secured First class with minimum marks of 65% or CGPA 6.84 on a scale of 10.
g. Applicants with Diploma+B.E/B.Tech (Lateral Entry) are also eligible to apply provided they have passed their degree in First class with a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 on a scale of 10.
2. Age Limit
Applicants who are applying for the exam must be less than 35 years as on 15th January 2019. The upper age limit for SC/ST applicants is 40 years and for OBC is 38 years . According to Government of India, Ex-Servicemen and PwD are also eligible for age relaxation.
3. Nationality
Applicants applying for the post of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ should be a citizen of India .
