IEM college management quota fees in computer science??
Hi Shreya,
Although IEM is a good college in Kolkata with decent placements, it is strongly advisable not to invest in management quota to get into the college. Reasons for this may be attributed to the followings:
- Management quota only gives you admission but for placements, the work to be put is from your end. If you can work well during the 4 years of your engineering, you will get good placement regardless of any college you get into.
- They charge exorbitant fees in the name of management quota and if you're ready to pay such an amount, why don't you try for colleges like VIT, SRM, KIIT because these colleges also help in your overall development giving you a proper college experience unlike IEM and they also have excellent placements.
- In case, others get to know about it, think of the guilt you may have to carry over the years (this is a real-life experience one of my friends had faced). Not necessarily it will happen, but just in case.
Having said these, if you still want admission in IEM through Management Quota, they charge you somewhere between 9-11 Lakhs depending upon your timing (that is how quickly you apply). Also, do try to avoid any middleman and try to visit the college in person and talk to the concerned committee members.
Hope this helped.
