Let me explain you the difference between two colleges:

IET Stands for INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, LUCKNOW aand IIIT for INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, LUCKNOW

Both the institutes are much different than each others, which can be judge or seen through their names .

• IIIT LUCKNOW is central government institute
• IET is a state government institute
• IIIT LUCKNOW is listed among the institute of josaa
• IET is an institute falls under list of UPTU .
• IIIT LUCKNOW gives chance to jee mains qualified aspirants to pursue their btech in offered branchs .
• Where as IET gives chance to UPTU qualifiers holding top ranks.
• IIIT LUCKNOW has a tag of National importance.
• IET doesn't have such kind of importance.
• IIIT LUCKNOW offers single IT branch as it's a newly established ( 4 years back).
• IET is an old and most reputated institute like HBTU, Kanpur .IET was established in 1984 and it offers several number of courses.
• IIIT LUCKNOW doesn't have it's own campus right now but , it's campus of 50 is under construction which is going on , near international stadium of LUCKNOW including plus point of being located near IT city & company (HCL lucknow)
• IET is situated near Indra nagar, LUCKNOW with a 100 Acer's land coverage
• placements of IIIT Lucknow no doubt to be at best level
• IET is unable to place it's majority of students even of CSE branch
• IIIT Lucknow has good funding amount comparitive to IET.

Although, IET is lagging behind the IIIT LUCKNOW but, Still it's a first choice of UPTU qualifiers .

After going through this I would recommend you IT from IIIT Lucknow.
