No , dear 75 % in 10th is not mandatory for taking admission in nit or iit .
- Actually your 10th marks is not taken into account while taking admission in nit or iit .
- What is considered ,is your 12th marks for admissions to NITs / IIITs ,you need to have a minimum 75% marks in class XII if you belong to general category or you need to be in the top 20 percentile in their class XII exam conducted by the respective board while for SC/ ST candidates, the eligibility criteria are to secure 65% marks in class XII examination .

Scoring 75% marks in class 10th is not necessary to take admission in a NIT/ IIT. However it is necessary to score atleast 75% marks in the boards in Class 12th to take admission in any NIT/ IIT.
The necessary requirement is either to score 75% marks in the board exams in Class 12th or to be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Exams.

Not At All.
Don't take tension of Class 10th marks.
Class 10th good marks are only required to get your favorite stream.
Afterwards no one asks your boards marks.
NEET & IIT Application Form only ask your board roll number of class 10th. But Class 12th marks matters. You should get above 75% in class 12th so that no difficulty happens in admission.
