Correct Answer: 5 : 14


Solution : $(7x + y) : (7x - y) = 7: 3$
$⇒\frac{(7x+y)}{(7x-y)}=\frac{7}{3}$
$⇒21x + 3y = 49x - 7y$
$⇒28x = 10y$
$⇒14x=5y$
$\therefore x: y = 5 : 14$
Hence, the correct answer is 5 : 14.
