Hi
Your EWS rank will be considered for admission and not CRL rank if you belong to ews category for admission in IITs .
Admission in IIT is through josaa counselling on the basis of JEE advanced rank .
Here are the details,
In there are 2 types of ranks :-
-
CRL i. e common rank list rank / overall rank among all the students ( including students of all categories) . Crl is considered for josaa counselling in case of general category students.
-
Category rank :- For each category there's a separate category rank which takes into consideration of students belonging to that particular category only . If you belong to ews/ obc / sc/st then your category rank is considered in josaa counselling.
To help you further,
