if a circular shaft is subjected to torsion what will be the max normal stresses
Hello,
The maximum stress induced in the shaft during torsion is equal to 16T/(Pi*d^3)
Where
T is the torsion applied
Pi= 3.14
d is the diameter of the shaft under torsion
By using the above formula you will find the maximum stress during torsion. During Torsion there is no normal stress induced
Hope this helps
