If a student does Btech Biotechnology from VIT Vellore or SRM Chennai what is the chance of getting placement.

Dear candidate
According to the previous year record almost 90 percent of the students in Btech Biotechnology got placed with average salary six lacks per anum and the highest package is 22 lacks and lowest is 2.3 lacks so, I can say there is a good chance in VIT Vellore for Biotechnology and in SRM almost 85 percent of the students got placed in good companies with good placements so yeah there is good chance in VIT Vellore and SRM Chennai for studying Biotechnology.

In VIT Vellore
By end of the 7th semester,
Most of the students wanting a job, are taken away by IT companies like TCS for a package of 3.75 lacs pa. A few get into companies like deloitte for a package of approx. 5 lacs pa, a few into some mediocre biotech or biotech related / pharma related companies for a package of 34 lacs pa.
In SRM
There are a few biotech/pharma companies that will come and hire, but the jobs are usually marketing related and the salary packages (around 23 lakhs/annum) are lower than even mass recruiting IT companies. A Bachelors degree is not sufficient to get a high-paying job in Biotech companies.
