If all top 3000 air people wanted to go iit Mumbai what happens

Number of seats are fixed in each collage so they take only those students whose ranking are good and have a good score ,completing the eligibility criteria ,so students get collages according to their rank and score.
here before counselling we need to fill our collage preference and according to our rank we get allocated, if you want either you join or they will give that place to another student as they have fixed number of seats

Nothing special will happen. Everything will go on as usual. But the allotment of seats among those 3000 students will be based on the choices filled by them during JoSAA counselling and on the basis of no. of seats available in every course.
If all the students fill their choices for CSE and no other program at IIT Bombay, then among those, top x students, where x = no. of seats available for CSE program at IIT-B, will be allotted CSE program and all other students will be allotted a seat on the basis of their second and further choices filled in the application/ JoSAA registration.
