yes of course you are eligible to appear in competitive exam. right now if you are in b.tech course of four years duration it would earn you a certificate of professional course as well as a graduate degree. after completing b.tech if you wish to change path from professional to others professional like banker, ias officer or any other post, you may appear in upsc, bank p.o exam, ssc exams as well.
