If an endothermic reaction is non spontaneous at freezing point of water and becomes feasible at it's boiling point then what is delta H and delta S?
Answer (1)
Hello there!
Greetings!
We know that
G=H- TS
Now, for endothermic reaction, H = +ve Now, G = H- TS . For nonspontaneous reaction, G should be positive Now G is positive at low temperature if H is positive. Thus , G is negative at high temperature if S is positive.
I hope that it helps you
