Here are the Eligibility criteria for JEE Mains examination-
1. The Candidates Should have passed their class 12 examination in 2019/2020 or appearing in 2021 and there are only three consecutive attempts are allowed for JEE Main Examination.
2. He/She should have taken at least five subjects for the 12th class or qualifying exam (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics compulsory).
3. The student should have passed any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
4. For Indian nationals who have passed class 12th or equivalent from Nepal/Bhutan, the State code of eligibility will be determined on the basis of permanent address in India as given in the passport of the candidate.
5. The criteria of obtaining a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category) or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12 or equivalent for admission in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs has veen waived off for the year 2021.

One can give JEE Mains for three consecutive years, irrespective of you attempt or leave one of the year.
IF one passes class 12 in 2021 then he/she can give JEE Mains in 2021,2022,2023.
