If i am from another state but currently my residence is in j&k Then what should i fill in birth state.if i do j&k then is this ok.

Hello Rajan,
There are two address required to be filled in the application form. One is the current address where you can enter the details of your J&K address. While the other one is Permanent Address where you can enter the details of the your other state home address from where you belong to.

First, tell me for which exam you are applying. Anyways, if you have all the certificates related to residence and all, you can still provide the details of J&K only.

See, you just have to mention the name of the state where you were born. J&K should not be mentioned in the form. You will have to mention the address of J&K in the current address and permanent residence. Just mention the name of other state where you were born in the column where it is asked. OK!
