If i am from engineering background then what kind of internship should i do , a managing one or related to my core subject(civil engineer)
Firstly to tell you, you have done your engineering from one of the ever green field that's civil engineering. But still if you have interest in management then you can proceed as it's related to your career and only you have to work on it.
But being a engineer it's better to go for core related internship as it will boost your career. And if you want to go for management then go in coming future you can. Management internship and jobs are great at top B-school level.
Hope it helps you...All the best!
Most important is you need to be positive with your decision because the job what you would do in coming future that only you will do no one else will get into your shoes to do it. So important is that you should be satisfied with it. So decide accordingly.
Hello Nilesh
As a Civil Engineer, it is extremely important that you do an internship related to your branch instead of a management internship. This will help you at a later stage when you will sit for placements. Also, you will get an insight into how the industry works so it will be easy for you when you get a job.
Thank You.
Hi,
The type of internship you take must ideaaly be linked to the future you are shaping yourself for
If you are interested in management, you could take up management internshio to gain some much needed experienxe before going for an MBA
However if you want to take up a job in core, you could do an intern in the same field and gain practical exposure.
