Diya, Aakash and NEET are quite 2 different exams though Aakash follows NTA'S syllabus and curriculum. Its not your marks but the rank in the merit list that plays a more significant role in securing you a Medical Seat. With a score between 400-550 in Aakash exams is different than 400-550 in NEET. This is because the no.of Candidates who appear for NEET is different from the no.of Candidates who take Aakash test. If 100 Candidates take Aakash test and you score 400-550, you might be in the top 50. But with the same score in NEET, your rank will be beyond 10,000 depending on your Category and the tie break situations as well. Now cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no,of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. And then the State that you hold the domicile also matters because few States have higher cut offs than the rest. Leaving that aside, if you belong to General Category, youwill need nothing less than 575-600 for a seat in a Government Medical College and atleast 500 for Reserved Categories.
