If I apply for barch as well as btech in jee mains and attempt both the exams Can I pursue btech later?

Yes you can pursue whatever you want in both of these.
It doesn't matter how many examination forms you have filled of different fields what dies matter is how much you are dedicated towards a particular course. Because surely you can not pursue two courses together. So select the best one as per your choice.
