If you will be appearing for your 12th boards in the year 2021 and if you fail to qualify for JEE advance in 2021 JEE mains attempt then you will only get chance in JEE advance next year.i.e, in 2022.
Once will be eligible for appearing in JEE advance only when he/she qualify jee mains in the year they appeared in boards or the next coming year.
I hope this helps.
Whether you will be eligible for JEE advanced next year i. e jee advanced 2022 or not depends upon your year in which you appeared for 12th board examination
This is because,
One is eligible for JEE advanced examination for a maximum of two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination.
I am guessing that you are appearing for 12th board examination this year i. e 2021
So, being appearing for 12th board examination in 2021 ,you are eligible for JEE advanced 2021 and also for JEE advanced 2022.So, yes you will be eligible for JEE advanced next year
For example,
JEE advanced 2021 eligibility criteria says that you must have appeared for your class 12th board examination for the first time in the year 2021 or 2020 and also must have qualified JEE mains 2021. The minimum percentage barrier of 75 % in 12th for general/ews/obc or 65 % in case of sc/st is not applicable for the year 2021,it has been lifted off for this year.

If I tell you about, Jee main then,
One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of passing 12th board examination.
Now,
JEE Main entrance examination will be conducted 4 times a year i.e
*February session
* March session
*April session.
* May session
Out of these 4 attempts in a year, the one in which you get the best score is considered for admission process.
So if you pass your 12th board examination in 2021 then you are eligible for JEE mains 2021, and all the 4 sessions of JEE mains 2022 and all the 4 sessions of JEE mains 2022.
So, after jee main 2021 ,you will have 8 more attempts left for JEE mains over the year 2022 and 2023
