if i choose type 1 ( computer science ), then i need to choose type 2 paper ? what is meaning if i choose 2 type,

From this year on-wards, an option is there to choose two subjects to appear for in GATE 2021 (one primary as paper 1 and other secondary as paper 2). I want to specify that it is not compulsory to choose second subject. If you wish to give two exams then only choose it.

I want you to also know that you have to pay for each paper chosen separately .

For the subjects chosen there are already specified combinations given by the organizing authorities. For Computer Science , You have the option to choose Mathematics as your secondary choice.

Gate 2021, allowed candidates to write two different papers namely primary and secondary. Subjects in secondary type depends on the primary  selected subject. If you choose computer science subject as primary, then in secondary there is a paper named Mathematics(MA). So if you are interested in writing two different papers, then choose two papers. If not, you can choose one subject in option and can select your desired subject. If you are interested in attempting two papers, then Mathematics is the only option you have to choose. I advise you to choose two papers if and only if you are interested. or else, choose only one paper.
