IPMAT conducted by IIM Indore has nothing to  do with 12th exams. The eligibility criteria for admission in IIM is that the candidate should have scored minimum 60% in 12th boards and good percentage might help you to get an advantage to be shortlisted in final merit list but the exam pattern of IPMAT exam is totally different.

IPMAT will be a computer based test of 2 hour duration. The exam pattern of IPMAT 2019 will consist of 100 questions divided in three sections, comprising of Quantative Ability (MCQs), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Questions) and Verbal Ability (MCQs). All the sections will be time bound. If you score good, then you will be called for GD and PI. Final merit list for admission will be prepared considering scores of these rounds altogether and selection will be on the basis of merit.
