Samrat let's say in the worst case you are not able to get a seat in any of the IIT then still you can sit in JoSAA 2018 counselling with your JEE Mains 2018 exam marks and apply for different NITs. With your JEE Main marks, you can also get admission in different top private colleges, IIITs, state government colleges. Almost all the colleges/universities across India give admission on the basis of JEE Main exam marks.

So, don't worry and as you were eligible for JEE Advanced so I assume your JEE Main score must be good and you can get admission in some of the good colleges.

You should go for nits through jee main in such case.

JEE advance is an exam which filters the top 2 lakh candidates who cleared the Mains for admission in the IITs and the NITs. apart from this purpise the advance score is equivatent to nothing. so you should get admission in the other colleges eiter on the basis of the JEE mains or any other state organised exam which you took along with your twelth score.

Through JEE Advance you say? But why? If you have performed above average in advance, then I'm sure you did well in Jee mains as well. And maybe if you appeared for other exams such as BITSAT, or VITEE, etc etc.



There are plenty other institutions, government and private, which have good prospects. So don't run behind the IIT tag alone.
