It depends on the difficulty level of examination. If an exam is difficult, there will be a lot of people who got negative marks and you may score well even if you have zero score. If the exam is easy, it will not happen. There were instances like people who scored zero get 60 percentile who attended exam on a difficult slot, but it was during when exams conducted in 60 slots.

Its purely depends on the performance of other people in your slot.

The nature of CAT is very dynamic because of the changing difficulty level and changing patterns.



The percentile is a relative phenomenon and hence it depends on the performance of other candidates how much percentile will you score.
