Dear student,

If you don't want any seat in any josaa round counseling, then simply you have to do is - do not accept it or take no action. Then automatically you will lose your seat, either in first round or further rounds.

Now, if you got allotted a seat but you do not want in first round counseling, and if you want other good seats in furthur rounds then, you can do two things. You can use SLIDE option, or you can use FLOAT option.

If you use slide option, then your allotted seat will remains and you will participate in further rounds of the same institute hoping to get other a higher preference branch than your alloted one. And is your get a good dear in further rounds them you can accept it. And if you do not get any seat in further rounds then your previous round 1 allotted seat will remains.

If you use float option, then your allotted seat will remains and you will participate in further rounds of the counselling in different institutes hoping to get other a higher preference branch than your alloted one. And if you get a good seat in further rounds them you can accept it. And if you do not get any seat in further rounds then your previous round 1 allotted seat will remains.
