Hello,

If a candidate fails in ONLY ONE subject during the main exam of CBSE class 12 boards, then there is a provision offered by CBSE.

This is called COMPARTMENT exam. In the month of May (tentatively), a second chance is given to appear for the failed exam.

The advantage is that, you can get your consolidated pass certificate before your admission into higher education ( and bonus: it won't mention that you have failed once). This will also save an academic year for you.

So, don't worry. Try to give your best. There are several occasions where secured marks are greater than expected marks due to various procedures like grace marks and moderation between sets.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
