If i fail to take admission in first merit list, is there a chance to get the admission in that college

Hi aspirant,
These criteria may change from exam to exam, however in general if you fail to get seat in first merit list, and there are seats vacant in that college then you can definitely get admission in the same college. many a times it happens, that seats are closed in second or third merit but as students keep switching between colleges, seats open up in later merit list.
