Status retention form is a kind of confirmation of the alloted seat by the candidate. If a candidate has got a seat alloted and the candidate wants to confirm the seat without any preferences of upgrading for better choice, then he or she fills the status retention form. Once, you fill the status retention form, you will not be eligible for upgrading your choice in the next round of counselling.
