If you have filled the wrong gender in your application form, then it will definitely cause you problems not only at the tme of admission but also at the time of examination as you wouldn't be allowed entry in the examination hall and even if you are, while cross checking you will be found out and will face a lot of trouble.

So, try to correct the gender as well as any other details you might have gotten wrong in the correction window that is provided by the concerned authorities.
