if i get 30 marks in paper 1 out of 40 and 5 marks in paper 2 out of 40 , overall 35 out of 80 is i am pass or not.

Hey there!
The cut off or the passing mark varies from examination to examination. Kindly specify the exam that you are referring to here and we will let you know accordingly.
However, in the majority of the cases for the school examinations , the cut off is 33% in each subject.
But in your case, nothing can be said with surety, since the name of the examination is not mentioned and whether or not both the papers here being referred are of the same subject or not.
