If I get 55 marks in chemistry in HS exam(phy & math above 75)....will be I able to get admission in B.tech in Jadavpur University?

Admissions in b.tech. in Jadavpur University, Kolkata are done through WBJEE rank. Eligibility criteria for the entrance test is that any student must secure at least 45% aggregate in 10+2 or in equivalent examination. Entrance test (WBJEE) will be conducted on 22nd April 2019. Selection in any college will be purely merit based- on the basis of the rank secured in WBJEE.

Dear Sir / Mam, for admission in BTech at Jadavpur University, they have a very minimal cutoff for marks in HS i.e. minimum of 60% marks in PCM taken together having 60% marks in Mathematics as well as pass marks in English with a minimum of 30%. What really matters is your WBJEE or JEE marks

Less marks in any particular subject doesn't matters alot in taking admission in JU until and unless you are not fail in any one the main subject. So if your total marks in 5 subjects is under 20 percentile of any board you are eligible to take admission in JU. Even if you have scored less marks in any one or two subject but your overall marks is good then there is nothing to worry about.
