In JGEC , the cut off rank ranges from 3547 to 5867 for general category students. It is subject to change in case of SC and ST and OBC.
This is according to previous year analysis.
Basically the cut off rank depends upon the current years exam paper difficulty and no. Of highest marked students.
So with 6000 rank in WBJEE is not going to difficult
For admission in Jalpaiguri govt. Engg. College.

Look, with 6000 rank in WBJEE, it is difficult for you to get seat in Kalyani College of Engineering. However, according to previous year cutoffs, you may get a seat in Mechanical or Information Technology if the cutoff continues to get down as previous years. I advice you to give it a try but be open to other options as well.
